Co-applicants and their links

A renter adds co-applicants from People on this application in their portal, up to three. Their agent can do the same from the Rental Application tab of the client’s page: add a person, correct a name or an email address, change the order, or remove someone. Each co-applicant gets their own link by email, or whoever added them copies it to hand over.

Consent only

An adult who will live in the home but is not applying with their income, such as a grown child, a parent, or a partner the landlord already knows, can be added as an adult occupant, for consent only. They get one email with one page: the credit bureau consent and their name typed as a signature. No checklist, no account, nothing else to do. The renter and the agent both see whether it has been signed, and the application PDF records it.

What the link does

It opens the co-applicant’s own part of the application and their own checklist, under their own name, without a password. The link works for 60 days; after that the main applicant sends a new one. It should not be passed on, since it is the key to their file.

What they cannot do

Signing and the credit check stay with the main applicant. A co-applicant answers for themselves and sends their own documents, nothing else.

Removing one

Removing a co-applicant deletes their answers and any documents they sent, and their link stops working at once.
